AMC Removals & Storage

We were downsizing and moving from Carlow to Mayo and (never having used a removal company in the past), we used getamover.ie to find a company. AMC Removals was the only company (of the ones suggested) to (1) reply to our enquiry and, (2) send a person to conduct an audit of what we were moving.

From start to finish, we found the team at AMC Removals to be extremely helpful and accommodating (special thanks to Ester and Bianca). Their team arrived as arranged and got to work packing, labelling and moving everything. (A special shout out to the removal team of [Names removed by Sirelo] for their hard work).

Even when our move went pear shaped as the sale initially fell through AFTER we had sold our house, AMC Removals came to the rescue; they merely stored our belongings for a few weeks until things got sorted and then, once we moved in, arranged delivery within days.

They even sent us a card to wish us well in our new home.

In hindsight, I should have gone with a removal company more experienced in moving artworks (over 200) as well as furniture. Having said that the office staff and crew were very pleasant to deal with.

Not happy with the service. Recently moved from Ireland to UK. Execution itself was good (drivers, promptness of delivery) but everything with Operational Management e.g. invoicing, transparency of charges, communication and guidance on best possible solutions were really bad. At the end I lost around 350 euros due to bad Management on AMC side as there turned to be post factum customs charges (not quoted) and I ended up having 2 different shipments to UK as quoted storage, shipment and removal costs were not explained to me properly.

Everyone with who I spoke were very friendly and helpful, including the guys who picked up the boxes and the on who dropped them.

My only down would have been the lack of information at some stage where I had to email them to get the information I needed. I would have like them to give me the information instead of me asking for it.

But overall this was a perfect remove company, didn’t have to worried about anything and do anything, I moved all my stuff from Ireland to France it arrived in the space of a month like they told me all in a good state and again with friendly worker.

We have been dealing with: [names removed by Sirelo] for the last year and a half. Our initial intention was to move to Canada, which they arranged without any problem. Due to health considerations, we had to cancel our plans to move to Canada and made a decision to stay in Ireland and subsequently bought another house. They could not have been more helpful to us at this very difficult time.
[name removed by Sirelo] and his team moved us into our new house with great efficiency and professionalism. Everyone involved in our experience with AMC have been professional. courteous and most helpful. We would be most happy to recommend them to anyone.
